Zorormr – The Aftermath EP

Poland has always had great extreme metal bands, starting with the more popular and non-commercial-sounding Vader, Hate, Condemnation and Behemoth, and Zorormr should be added to this ever-growing list of Polish extreme metal groups. “The Aftermath” EP is six songs of pure hell dedicated to the devil and all of his followers worldwide.

There are moments of darkened depression to the more flesh scolding rhythms laced with horrific black metal raspy screams of total torture. Zorormr is a cross between raw blackened metal and death metal with hints of darkened metal. However, this band is definitely hell bent on destroying all that is pure, holy and god-like.

This EP is six songs of black metal misery even darker than night it self, especially with the ghastly atmospheres it unleashes while you listen to it – it certainly sends chills of terror and fright down your bare neck.

The track “The Aftermath” is a very chilling and goose bump raising instrumental you’re more likely here on the horror flicks The Poltergeist and The Exorcist. Now this is what I call demonic, hell, and Satan-inspired black metal with a twist.

You’ll also be treated to two very raw and unfiltered bonus tracks in the form of “Arise, Cthulhu, Arise” and “Zorormr”, which sound very raw and demo-like, but these two songs are a cool listen, seeing where the band get their old school influences from. Very killer…!!       Via Nocturna Records    Sarjoo Devani
