Old school blackened death metal band Vorum play black metal mixed with death metal from the darkest depths of hell. “Poisoned Void” is technically this quartet’s third release, and it wreaks of pure, soul tormenting anguish. Their rhythms are razor sharp, drumming fast to mid paced, and lethal enough to crush your skull, and the vocals will leave an unforgettable scar on your mind. The production on this eight tracker is really good and makes for one heck of a painful listening experience as every musical detail just cuts through the flesh. Also, check out the title track “Poisoned Void” carefully as the guitar riffing and harmonies are very reminiscent of Possessed’s “Seven Churches” and “The Eyes Of Horror” CDs. Sound good yet? If it does, fans of Incantation, Immolation, Possessed and Darkthrone will worship the darkened insanity found here. Listen at your own risk as Vorum will drain you of life; leave you dying for more, and then bury your corpse in an unmarked grave, ha, ha.
