ALL SHALL PERISH – Hate Malice Revenge (CD)
The Bay Area, California’s deathcore outfit have eight punishing songs on this CD, their debut, and they come at you like a raging bull on steroids. Vocalist Craig just wails out his lungs in immense agony matching the severity of the band’s crushing rhythms. The musicianship is solid, with many breakdowns, razor sharp riffing, and blast beats strong enough to level a concrete block structure.
All Shall Perish has definitely put together eight tracks for their first ever album, and “Hate Malice Revenge” (2003) shows why it is a strong contender with the best of brutal death metal CDs. The vibe of their music comes across as dark, but when in reality you listen to their songs, the message they’ve within their social, anti-religious, personal and anti-political lyrics makes much sense. This quintet is very convincing in the delivery of the fine cuts found here, and this is one thing, which makes All Shall Perish an interesting band. However, the lineup, which played on this debut is no longer intact as the only original member left is bassist Mike Tiner along with Adam Pierce (drums) and Francesco Artusato (lead guitars), the latter two members playing with Tiner since 2010. You want some killer moshing deathcore with extreme metal influences, All Shall Perish will not disappoint. [Metal Mind Productions] (Also, check out my video review of this CD below.)
