Seth - Apocrypha

Seth, hails from the sunny landscape of Florida, and is sure to absorb your mind within their seventies-like melodic stoner rock/metal music.
The music on their debut CD is more in the vein of Trouble, Paul Chain and early Black Sabbath, but with more of a rock driven style. There are also a few hints of Rainbow here as well, especially within their music, which is very prevalent on the 11-minute instrumental track “Quadragy”. Their musicianship is very strong, and interesting for the most part, on the seven tracks found here. The vocals on this album are very melodic, and kind of have a mesmerizing effect on the listener.
The energy, which Seth possesses within their music, is tranquil yet has that weird tripped-out vibe to it. If you want to smoke out to this band, then you’re in luck, as the music here is the perfect stoner type of heavy melodic rock. “Apocrypha” is a very positive-sounding album, as it is a solidly written and put together slab of hallucination-inducing metal.
Seth is not going to move mountains with their brand of stoner rock/metal, but they’re sure to move fans of this style of metal towards them. Definitely worth a listen…    Minotauro Records    Sarjoo Devani
