Satanath – Deep Universe Vacuum
Imagine flying through time and space, leaving all of your loved ones and every materialistic item behind, not know where your final destination will come to and end in this “Deep Universe Vacuum”.
There are the cold and eerie vibes I got when I was listening to the 80 minutes worth of synthesizer composed dark/space ambient music on Satanath’s debut CD. Aleksey Korolyov, the sole man behind this extra-terrestrial project is very creative with his use of the keys, and he definitely has the mind of a visionary when it comes to soulfully putting together the 13 songs on feature here.
There are no drums, bass or distorted guitar present here, but the visions of immense darkness and dread created for this album, makes Satanath one hell of a sinister ambient release. This album conjures up wicked feelings of isolation, rejection, mass paranoia within the mind, and a sick feeling of trapped in an endless spiral, where death is the only hope for humanity.
The music written, arranged and played is so soundtrack-like; it is something that could’ve been used for an Aliens type of movie. It’s not impossible to hear Satanath’s soundtrack-like creations featured on a full-length Sci-fi movie or even a documentary about the cosmos and outer deep reaches of space. Highly recommended, but this album requires an open mind, as it is not your basic, run of the mill dark/space ambient album. Excellent! Symbol Of Domination Sarjoo Devani
