Ribspreader – Suicide Gate-A Bridge To Death
Rogga Johansson is back from the shallow graves of eternal death, with Ribspreader, and their newest album “Suicide Gate-A Bridge To Death”, which is bound to stab you in the heart and leave you dying in immense pain, which is one hell of a release.
Yes, this is what Ribspreader’s old Swedish death metal feels like, kind of like a mass murder weapon, but only initiated with down tuned guitar rhythms, hellish growls, and a very doom-laden atmosphere throughout the nine cuts resurrected on this album.
“In Mankind’s Rotting Grip”, the lengthiest song at 4:33, goes through plenty of hateful emotions vocally, lyrically, and musically, the guitar rhythms and riffs come at your ears like a torpedo out of control.
“The Remains In The Wall” remind of Carnage, Dismember and Afflicted in their prime, as this bitch comes roaring at you from the infernal depths of the abyss without any mercy.
Rogga’s vocals are furious, sick, twisted and grotesque to say the least, as his vocal chord brutality is sure to make you throw up last night’s meal.
The production on this album is pretty good, with the double bass drums making a huge impact here, making the guitars and vocals all that more vicious in their all out assault upon the listener’s senses.
“Under Ash-Filled Skies”, with its slow to mid paced rhythms and choppy guitar riffs reminds of early Grave, yet unleashes a whole barrage of sonic warfare, which your ears will not be able to stand.
People, “Suicide Gate-A Bridge To Death” is pure old school Swedish death metal potent enough to make you die a thousand times. Check it out and let the hellish headbanging split your cranium in two. Xtreem Music Sarjoo Devani
