Reabilitator – Global Degeneration
Russia’s finest thrash metal legions in the form of a power trio is sure take the thrash metal world by storm with their mid to late eighties thrash metal assault. If you’re familiar with the hell created by the likes of Kreator’s “Terrible Certainty”, Destruction’s “Mad Butcher” ep and Overkill’s “Taking Over” slabs of head shattering metal, “Global Degeneration” is sure to please.
With mosh pit-worthy rhythms, screamed out, riot-like vocals, and drumming that’s sure to leave the listener deaf in a forced wall of sound, it’s going to be pure aural torture at its finest. With headbanging and fists raising thrashers like “Self-Extinction Of Mankind”, “Reabilitation Begins” and “Wall Of Death” to name a few, Reabilitator is sure to beat the living shit out of anyone, ha-ha.
The production here is okay, a bit raw in places, which is a good thing, as it gives the album an almost live feeling to it. You’ll feel as if the trio is playing live in front of you, especially if you crank up the volume to a MEGA, speaker blowing 10.
Keep in mind, these guys are very old school influenced, and you’re not going to run across any modern day thrash metal influences, and this is something they should be respected for.
I’m looking forward to the band’s second full-length studio release, as I know the band’s potential is sure to out do what they’ve accomplished on “Global Degeneration”. Check it out and thrash your lights out until the house comes crashing down with no mercy in-sight. Symbol Of Domination Sarjoo Devani
