NERVOCHAOS - The Art Of Vengeance (CD)
I’ve always enjoyed extreme metal bands, thrash and even heavy metal bands coming from Brasilia, but Nervochaos is unlike any of the other groups I’ve been crazy about, as they put on a full-on thrash/death metal music assault. Your senses will get thrashed with their choppy and slam-worthy rhythms, and the vocals are rough sounding with hints of death metal. “The Art Of Vengeance” is the ultra beat down on the human senses, as the listener is subject to countless blunt force trauma-like blows all over – it’s blisteringly sick. Imagine a more thrashed out version of Sarcofago meets Sepultura in their early days with hints of Benediction as well as DRI, what crazy but serious ass kicking influences? You gotta love them for being very unique and off the wall daring to a great extent.
“The Legacy Of Pain” comes across like early Kreator meets Tankard, but with a Brazilian-styled sonic assault on the ears. Nervochaos’ rhythms are excellently executed with that mosh pit flair, which brings the thrash metal/death metal music of the eighties to mind.
Give these extreme metal elitists a shot, as they’re more prone to kick your ass into oblivion than disappoint you. [Greyhaze Records] Sarjoo Devani
