Mistweaver - The Bloodshed Rages On

Spain’s awesome melodic death metal mongers in the form of Mistweaver play death metal with enough atmosphere to create a massive layer of gray clouds in your world.
The sporadically used synths throughout their six track mini ep adds unique depth to the band’s heavy as hell song structures and growl vocals. The guitar riffs are very much in the vein of Death, Arch Enemy and at moments brings to mind Dimmu Borgir, minus the black metal vocals.
Considering there are only six songs featured on “The Bloodshed Rages On”, the music is diverse with the heavier moments on all of them, yet maintaining the band’s own identity musically and songwriting-wise.
The guitars sound pretty good with the symphonic synths in the background, while the ungodly vocals and bombastic drumming really adds atmospheric depth to Mistweaver’s somewhat original style. There are technical aspects in the music here yet something so easy to get into, especially when you’re driving, haha.
Mistweaver is a really good band, who have plenty of potential to blossom into a death metal powerhouse with the right push and evolution as a band.
Highly worth the listen, as this band will definitely blow your auditory sense into chaotic oblivion. Pathologically Explicit Recordings.  Sarjoo Devani
