The fivesome collectively known as Insain, who are no longer together as a band, has penned its most violent and twisted slab of chaotic death metal. They may not be the most unique band musically and vocally, but their fiery energy is good enough to knock the wind out of you and leave you dying for more psychotic punishment found on “Enlightening The Unknown”.
Insain mix the very sick, twisted, and brutal elements of death metal and grind, with some visual darkness added for good measure, ya!! The production is quite raw and not processed-sounding like countless death metal bands of today, which in turn displays the band’s old school spirited elements of total, extreme death metal of the highest caliber.
The guitars are truly razor sharp, but it is the band’s rabid and ferocious vocals that rip apart the eardrums on this release. “Enlightening The Unknown” is definitely a stellar release in terms of aural brutality, and is a release, which would do more justice if it got airplay on college heavy metal radio stations, which, depending on type of metal show, would have listeners into this style of extreme death metal.
Insain’s music is nothing out of the ordinary, but it is skillfully executed with raw heaviness not found on even the most extreme death and black metal CDs of today. Listen to Insain and feel your ears bleed away your life.
