INFERNAL DEATH – Gniew

Infernal Death -Gniew

Poland’s Infernal Death is an old school death metal band and they play like there is no tomorrow, hungry for every living thing that gets in their way. They borrow influences from such death metal luminaries as Death, Incantation, Cannibal Corpse and Baphomet. Their rhythms are tight, blisteringly heavy as fuck, and the vocals will devour you and then spit you out like a piece of shit – yes, these guys are very sick in the head, indeed.
The production is okay, nothing to ring home about, but their old school brutality certainly makes up for the semi-decent studio quality.
However, I was disappointed with the fact that everything they sing and write about is in their native tongue: Polish. Only if I knew Polska, then I could decipher what they’re getting at in their subliminal lyrics, ha, ha.
There are a total of 18 songs, with tracks 1-10 recently recorded and tracks 11-18 from their 1991 “Twilight Tales” demo, and the sound and mix quality sounds like it was probably recorded in a garage with everyone jamming together. The demo does give you an idea of the progression the band has made yet staying true to their hardened death metal insanity.
Infernal Death will surely please even the pickiest of old school death metal fans, that is f they don’t care about the lyrics, and in death metal, 99% of the time lyrics cannot be understood. Check it out and let Gniew rip your flesh to shreds.
