Frances’ aggressive metal groove meisters In The Guise Of Men rock out with their groove driven metal riffs and rhythms. Their vocals kind of have those new metal similarities but without any of the drama shit in them. Imagine French metal maniacs Lyzanxia meets Bring Me The Horizon meets Voivod. Yes, what a freaked-out combination of similarities, but when you think about it, ITGOM has definitely forged its own style and sound. Considering they’ve been around since 2003, that is a good ten years, and they’ve truly honed their musicianship skills and catchy songwriting abilities, which makes this mini album a good listen, indeed. You’ll surely want to slam with this motherfucker cranked up on your stereo, and unleash your insanity…
I enjoyed the fact that these guys have the balls to change things up musically and vocally yet keeping it heavy, groovy, dark at times and, in your face 110%. Their guitar and bass lines feature plenty of hooks that’ll leave your ears spinning the dirt, ha, ha.
For those of you looking for a killer ass whipping, In The Guise Of Men will fucking beat your head in ‘til you beg for more on "Ink", hell ya.
