FORNICUS – Storming Heaven (CD)

Fornicus hail from the Christian and Rebel waving flag state of Kentucky, but they play a modern style of black metal that’ll tear Christianity a new asshole, with their blisteringly brutal sonic assault.

These guys are brilliant in execution and tight to the point of being almost flawless with the way they throw their unholy and devilish songs at you. “Storming Heaven” is a collection of eight blasphemous tracks, assaulting every false dogma of Christianity and its brainwashed flock. There is so much hatred present on this album, that “Storming Heaven” is not only a fitting title for this debut CD, but also it is a bold statement about Fornicus’ no-compromise anti-Christian stance.

I noticed influences from Marduk, Emperor, Mayhem and Setherial, some of the best black metal bands to be influenced by. However, it is Fornicus’ strength to create such rich, blackened atmospheres without using any synths, which only makes this album all the more Satanic in spirit and ultra violent in its sheer musical chaos.

For those who despise Christians and all religious faiths, Fornicus is the ultimate destroyer of all that is pure and holy. All Jesus worshippers be very afraid, be very afraid because death will be your salvation, at the evil-plagued hands of Fornicus.
