FangorN – Inferno

Saint Petersburg, Russia’s FangorN play epic and awe-inspiring melodic folk metal with tons of emotions brewing from their musical and vocal chalice.

Musically, plenty of folk metal influences can be heard from Amorphis, Lake Of Tears and even some Iron Maiden vocal influence too can be noticed on the breathtaking title track “Inferno”. The music on this song is so epic and triumphant sounding, you just feel like taking on the world, and just proving everyone who ever doubted you for everything you did, wrong.

I love the soul on this four track EP, as it has a very positive vibe to it and a spark of life not heard in today’s folk, heavy metal. Listening to “Inferno” kind of reminds of a small village somewhere in the middle of Europe, with so much musically driven culture and spirit, it kind of breathes new life into your lifeless soul. This is the village of immense positivity, and it is where you want to be…

The four songs on this EP are brilliantly written, composed, thought-out, and played with plenty of conviction. Just listening to the melodic vocals and the atmospherically fueled music, and it makes this release an awesome hit. Check it out.      Sarjoo Devani
