Escatology – Blasphemous Godhead
Italian death metal/grindcore extremist quintet, Escatology decompose and slay such gruesome and terrifying sounds within the extreme metal world, their debut e.p. “Blasphemous Godhead is the epitome of all that’s evil.
The music found on this EP is the complete soundtrack to hell, Satan, Devil, End of Days, and the mass extinction of humanity. “Blasphemous Godhead” spews forth so much in the way of extreme heat and fire, I felt like I was burning in the bottomless pits of the never-ending abyss.
From Rabid-sounding guitar screams to guttural and screamed out vocals, feelings of death and torture become eminent by the second. With each passing moment, Escatology deprives your organs of vital sustenance such as oxygen, and therefore asphyxia begins to set in.
If you want to fucking kill yourself, this is the perfect poison to ingest through your flesh and auditory canals, as this demonic release is sure to shatter every ounce of your moral and physical being.
One of the arrangements I enjoyed here, were the unsuspecting tempo changes to the unpredictable twist and turns leaving you completely lifeless.
“March And Suffering Of Souls” just about sums it where this fivesome are headed to, with Escatology, as this eerie track features moans and screams of people crying and dying. Man, this one reminds of the great apocalypse on its way…
The last track, “Blasphemous Godhead” is so vicious in its approach; it is sure to fucking rip your head off, leaving your bloodied and naked corpse in a position of immense despair.
Yes, there are plenty of Naplam Death, Cannibal Corpse and Brutal Truth influences here, but Escatology add a bit of their unholy spices to really shake things up musically and vocally.
Check it out and let evil begin its possession of your weakened spirit. Killerpool Records Sarjoo Devani
