Empatic, the Polish quintet play mid to semi fast paced death metal with thrash metal influences. Their CD “Gods Of Thousand Souls” showcases a tight musicianship, thought provoking lyrics and music that’s potent enough to poison your fragile mind.
Check out the groove driven “The Game”, and you will feel as if you’re reliving your darkest moments from your past life – sick, huh?
Empatic is not unique by any stretch of the imagination, but sure now how to write and play catchy songs. This aspect alone makes this five piece such a kick ass extreme metal band to listen to, which is sure to please fans of melodic death metal.
These guys take the best musical elements from the likes of Death, Kreator, Coroner and early Sepultura, with their semi-growly vocals.
I love their album title, “Gods Of Thousand Souls” – it makes you think and also fits their music and lyrics with much depth.
The overall sound, mix and production on this record is very solid as all of the instrumentation including the semi-growl-ridden vocals can be heard clearly, though not understandable, which is what makes it death metal.
Empatic has certainly delivered their most inspirational and promising debut affair and should only get better with future releases.
