DISBELIEVER – The Dark Days

Disbeliever

This Italian quintet known as Disbeliever play gothic metal with passion and emotions strong enough to make the world shed tears of sadness and joy. “The Dark Days” features tens tracks of gothic metal, with showcases the band’s ability to go from one high to one low, all the while keeping their songs so rich in atmosphere and vocal harmonies that will bring tears of your youth.

I can picture a solid unity of The Sisters of Mercy and Type O Negative, which brings to mind the awesome arrangements and vibes of songs written by both of the above classic goth bands. Disbeliever has a darkened vibe to their sound too, but their music comes across sounding very hopeful and promising, not depressive or hopeless.

This quintet also possess strong musicianship skills, which also gives their song structures such flair, you know that these guys are playing it from the heart. The listener can definitely feel their intense burning passion for gothic metal, and you also become apart of this darkened journey into the netherworld.

“The Dark Days” is a very strong release, nothing totally out of the ordinary, but tastefully written, played and created. Disbeliever will certainly make a nonbeliever out of you; so listen to ”The Dark Days” with caution.  [Aural Music]    Sarjoo Devani
