DESTROYING DIVINITY – Hollow Dominion (CD)
From your first listen to Destroying Divinity’s “Hollow Dominion”CD, you’ll hear a few well-known influences within their death metal sound that’s sure to melt the skin of off your bones.
Imagine a more refined Immolation, aka:“Closer To A World Below” meets early Morbid Angel, aka, “Covenant” and “Formulas Fatal To The Flesh”, but with their own wicked musical twist and sudden turns. You get my drift, as Destroying Divinity is death metal with plenty of early influences to more of a modern flare within the guitar riff and rhythm departments. The vocals are not all that original, but they do make the listener feel as if they’ve been caught in the demon’s lair of pure torment.
“Hollow Dominion” precisely conjures up images of the world beneath us, with dead souls forever enslaved in servitude to the devil.
Give these guys a horns up for sticking to their beliefs, and playing a style of death metal, which is still admired by a small dedicated following of the extreme. [Lavadome Productions] (Also check out the video review of this album below.) Sarjoo Devani
