BUFFALO THEORY MTL – Murder Trilogy e.p. (CD)
I love the sludgy, rockish driven hardcore Buffalo Theory MTL play on their debut e.p. “Murder Trilogy”, as it has rock influences, some punk and metal influences to make you bang the heck out of your head.
The vocals are very rough, kind of sounds as if the singer has a shotgun pointed to his head and made to belch out the lyrics. And their basic song structures are groove driven and heavy enough to get a nice mosh pit going, yeah! The three tracks on here give a general idea as to what these guys sound like, and from listening to these songs, they come across as a very pissed off band. This is a band you would not want to get into a brawl with because they’d whoop your ass into total submission. They kind of remind of leather clad, biker music at times, but this could be my wild imagination. The production is okay, not polished or crystal clear on the bass guitars or drums, but their guitar rhythms and solos do sound good.
I enjoyed this three-song e.p., as it is very uplifting if you’re feeling blue and depressed because it will liven up your soul with its rebellious attitude. Get the bombs and weapons ready because Buffalo Theory MTL is coming to your town to stir up a revolution. Highly recommended for fans of Biohazard, Pro-Pain and COC. [Self-Released] Sarjoo Devani
