Blinded For Lies - Unity

Metalcore stalwarts Blinded For Lies come from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and their debut full length album “Unity” is surely going to kick you hard in the teeth, and you won’t even know what hit you.

“Unity” is a solid concrete, heavy collection of ten songs with fist pounding guitar rhythms, wrist slashing riffs, groove-laden drum passages contagious enough to get you slamming like a maniac.

“Heavy Hearted”, is definitely the heaviest track here, just races across your face, with stampede-like rhythms, headache generating drum beats, and rough, semi-growl vocals that’ll suffocate your spirit within. What I most liked about this song was its, in your face, crush the listener power, which is noticeable from start to finish.

Every song on this release is unique in its own way, with different emotions to the total onslaught of the firepower every track releases upon the listeners’ frail ears.

This Spanish quintet is an awesome band, as they’ve lot of potential to make a huge name for themselves and create some mega waves in the global metalcore scene.

Highly worth checking out if you’re into groups like Threat Signal, Despised Icon, Unearth and Bring Me The Horizon. “Unity” is bound to stand the test of time with its timeless songwriting and advanced musicianship in terms of creativity and heaviness. This is a 10 out of 10.    Necromance Records     Sarjoo Devani
