Italia’s heavy, hardcore rockers Artificial Wish have just released their debut CD “Subconscious”, and it is one hell of a record, packed with a hard-hitting sound. The guitars convincingly wrap around Andrea’s vocals and just suck you write into the speakers.
The vocals are pretty lively and kind of come across as a more pissed-off sounding Lyzanxia meets Lamb Of God meets As I Lay Dying, but I think Artificial Wish is a much better band than the latter as they play and sing with so much conviction that it makes you listen, as if you’re under their enchanting spell.
“Subconscious” is not my cup of tea, but I tell you one thing, this quintet possess a lot of potential to be quite big, more in the Century Media, Roadrunner kind of vein.
The production on this nine tracker is pretty solid and all of the instruments can be heard clearly, which also makes “Subconscious” a good listen. Check out the mind trippin’ guitar rhythms, groove laden drumming and psyched vocal passages on “My Clay’s World” and you will hear that Artificial Wish definitely have the talent to be unique.
Check it out and let your subconscious world burn in an artificial wish.
