ANTONELLO GILIBERTO – The Mansion Of Lost Souls

Antonello

"Wow" was the word which was blurted out from my mouth when I heard the first track "Equinox" from Italian classically inspired virtuoso guitarist Antonello Giliberto. He definitely writes shred metal with classical music influences within his playing.

He is not the most unique guitarist in the world, but he plays with tons of emotions ranging from melancholia, to seriousness to sounding upbeat/happy. I think this aspect really sets his musical approach to writing quality songs from the rest of the instrumental guitar herd apart.

He makes every effort at being different, but at times falls short due to his huge, huge, huge Yngwie Malmsteen influences, who is also a classically trained and influenced guitarist. However, Giliberto exhibits a lot of future potential to write music within the classical realms but more focused on originality and a sound totally out of this world.

Just one listen to the title track, "The Mansion Of Lost Souls" and you will be taken to another dimension of musical bliss and harmony. This song will put its spell over you, and you will be thinking and dreaming of it in your sleep.

The energy of the 12 songs found here has plenty of positive vibes that make you feel good on the inside and out.

I cannot wait to check more material from this Italian heavy metal and shred guitarist as he has a very big potential to go places.  Sarjoo Devani
