Abhomine – Larvae Offal Swine

Abhomine is the solo project of Angelcorpse, Order From Chaos founder Pete Helmkamp, which is black and death metal all rolled up into one, creating a merciless tornado of aural destruction and unimaginable suffering.

Pete’s vocals are more in the old school black/death metal vein, and sounds like he is being tormented by his internal demons all the while his rabid guitar and bass guitar lines create an atmosphere of impending chaos and darkness. The drumming is more in your face, with all of the tracks here, except the intro and outro, just race by you, as if you’re caught in an Indy 500 race in the lowest depths of hell’s bowels.

For those of you curious to know what “Larvae Offal Swine” means according to Pete: “Worm Pig Shit”. And believe me, the album has that unholy twisted feel to it – it’s blatantly foul and evil indeed. The Devil’s smoke is sure blur your vision and senses without any fucking remorse, so proceed with caution.

Pete is not doing anything that has not been before with Abhomine, as it is more in the vein of his earlier band Angelcorpse with influences from Revenge and Blasphemy, with the more solid one-two, one-two punch within the music’s delivery.

However, there is some room left in the crowded black metal scene the world over for a black/death metal band not following trends, as Abhomine is straightforward in it’s approach of playing some the fiercest black metal human ears could ever experience.

“Larvae Offal Swine” is not to be listened by those with a weak heart or better yet a weak mind, as its ungodly energy will surely wreak havoc on this type of listener. People, this shit is not for pure entertainment purposes; it is black metal with death metal influences, and is sure to cremate your bloody soul alive. Prepare for all out war here, Pete’s sonic rage will definitely drag you down to the abyss of the “Larvae Offal Swine” fighting the devil’s demons.    Osmose Productions     Sarjoo Devani

Check out the brutally twisted track " Reptile Annuciation", which is a killer song due to its high speed intensity and touches of old school black/death metal.
